Now that you've chosen the perfect bowling ball, you are going to need something to carry it around in. Believe it or not, there are different types of bowling ball bags, and you do need to put a little thought into your needs before purchasing one.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Count your balls. Some people use more than one bowling ball, depending on what type of lineup they are chasing down. Different weighted and drilled balls give different results. How many bowling balls do you use? If it is more than one, you will need to select from bags that hold the appropriate amount of balls.

  2. Step 2

Think about how often you go bowling. If you go bowling every week, you might want to choose a bag with rollers that makes toting your bowling gear easier. If you are only going to go bowling occasionally for recreation, a conventional handle bag will be fine. Also, if you go bowling often, you might want to spend the extra money on a more durable bag that can keep up with all the use it is going to get.

  3. Step 3

Take stock of your bowling accessories. Do you have your own shoes? Do you use a towel? You might have a whole arsenal of bowling accessories, from gloves to resin to polishing cloths. If you just have a ball and shoes, you only need a small bag. If you have a large assortment of must-have accessories, you need to make sure your new bag has plenty of room for these things. If you can, bring your ball, shoes and accessories with you when you try out your new bag to make sure everything fits with some room to spare.

  4. Step 4

Express yourself. You don't want to choose the same bowling bag as everyone else. Think how confusing that will be at the alley! Take this chance to choose a bag that expresses your style, matches your ball or just looks really great! There are plenty of styles to choose from, and if your bag is extra unique, it won't be as hard to sort out when you are bowling with a crowd.
