Decide exactly where you would like to dig your raspberry bed. A spot that receives full sunlight during the day is best.

Dig out the perimeter of your raspberry bed with your shovel. Be sure it is big enough to accommodate the amount of plants that you have.

Turn your soil over with your garden rake and hoe. You want to break up pack dirt to create a nice soft soil. Continue to turn over the dirt until it is light and airy.

Remove any debris, rocks and weeds from the area of your raspberry bed.

Add some Miracle Grow (or any other kind of enrichment food) to your soil. Distribute it evenly throughout with your rake.

Plant your raspberry plants about 18 inches apart, with approximately five feet between rows. Water them regularly.
