Finally, you can listen to entire CDs online for free, without having to purchase the CD or buy the song on iTunes. Since these CDs will be streaming from your computer, it requires a little bit of patience to find the CD, but if you follow these tips, you should be listening to your favorite songs for free in no time.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet access
  • Membership to last.fm
  1. Step 1

Know that one great resource to listen to music online is last.fm. Here you can make playlists, catalog and document the music you listen to, as well as listen to both streaming radio stations and playlists. All you have to do is sign up for an account.

  2. Step 2

Once you have signed into your account, click the "Music" tab. A search box should pop up in the main screen. Above the search box, click the "Tags" tab.

  3. Step 3

Type the album name into the "Tags" tab. Anyone who has tagged a song as belonging in this particular album will have their song featured in this playlist. Songs will be in random order and some songs may not belong in the playlist. Also, the complete CD may not be available.

  4. Step 4

Know that a more concise way to listen to entire CDs online is through the website Imeem. You don't have to register to sign up, and you can find many popular albums in their entirety. Just type the name of the CD into the search bar on the right-hand side of the screen, and select to search "playlists."

  5. Step 5

Select one of the playlists that has the same number of songs as the album you'd like to listen to-- that way, you know there are no songs missing. The playlists are usually in the same order as the actual album and very high quality.

  6. Step 6

If you like the album you listened to, be sure to leave a comment and rate the playlist.
