Things You'll Need:
- MySpace account
- Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator
-
Step 1
Review the MySpace guidelines for uploading photos. Your photos to be less than 5MB and in any of these formats: jpg,.gif,.bmp,.tiff, or .png.
-
Step 2
Open Illustrator, Photoshop or any other graphics program and create a logo of your choice. Start with a rectangular-shaped file, 300 dpi or better (Photoshop only) and save a copy of it when you're done.
-
Step 3
Go to File>Save for Web. This feature is available in both Photoshop and Illustrator and gives you a number of options. On the view, make sure you have it set to 2-up or 4-up so you can see the difference between the web version and the original. You also have options that you can play around with. On the optimized version view, you will see the file size and average amount of time it will take to load using the options you selected. You can also make the logo transparent as long as you save it as a gif format.
-
Step 4
Hit the save button here and choose a new name for your logo, even if you just add the word "web" on the end of the file. Keep the raw version (in layers, if you used them) just in case you want to make changes later.
-
Step 5
Go on the internet and log into your MySpace account.
-
Step 6
At the top of the page there is a toolbar. Select Profile, and scroll down to My Photos. On the main photos page, select Upload Photos.
-
Step 7
Upload your photo. Once you are able to view your photo, select Set as Default and that photo will appear next to your name on your main profile page.
