4. Choose the clarity of your diamond. The higher up the clarity scale you go (1 to 10) the more it will cost you. Keeping the price in mind, you may want to come down the scale on clarity since these blemishes can only be seen with highly advanced equipment.
5. Consider the size or carat weight. Bigger stones are not always the most beautiful. If a diamond is cut poorly or has a shape that isn't pleasing it could look terrible.
