How to Insert Custom HTML in Yahoo Site Builder

      Open Yahoo Sitebuilder. You will need to double left-click on the application icon in order to open it.

      Load the website that you wish to work on. Left-click on the “File” tab on the command bar and scroll to “Open Site.” Then left-click on “Open Site” and browse to desired site to open it in Sitebuilder.

      Load the webpage that you wish to insert HTML into. Scroll to the “File” tab on the command bar and left-click; a submenu will open. Then scroll to “Open Page” and left-click; open the desired page.

      Insert desired HTML into the webpage. Once you have the desired page open, simply scroll to the “Insert” tab on the command bar; click it, and a submenu will open. Then scroll to “Code Elements”; click Code Elements, and a submenu will open. Finally, left-click on the “HTML” selection; an HTML box will open. Copy and paste the desired code into the HTML box and click “OK” to insert it into your webpage. The code will appear in a gray box that is labeled with the code. You can drag-and-drop this box anywhere on the page where you would like it to appear.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can manipulate code on just about everything in Sitebuilder, from audio, to video, to I-frames and more; just right-click on it and scroll to “HTML” and left-click.

  • Always save before inserting custom HTML. Always test your site using the “F12” hotkey before saving to assure that the custom HTML does not conflict with any existing code that is generated by Sitebuilder.
