Things You'll Need:
- Calculator or Pen & Paper
- Basic Understanding of Arithmetic
-
Step 1
Multiply the Celsius temperature (C) times 9. Example: 56 x 9 = 504.
-
Step 2
Divide the product by 5. Example: 504/5 = 100.8. This equals 100.8
-
Step 3
Add 32 to the quotient. Example: 100.8 + 32 = 132.8. The sum should be 132.8 This is the quick and easy way to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit. Below is another method to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit that is just as easy.
-
Step 4
To accomplish this conversion of Celsius to Fahrenheit we use the following formula: (C + 40) * (9/5) – 40 = FAnd there you have it. That is how you convert Celsius to Fahrenheit.
-
Step 5
That is how you convert Celsius to Fahrenheit. Just remember that in order to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius one only has to change the dividend and divisor to 5/9. Example f – 32 * 5/9 = cExample f + 40 * 5/9 – 40 = cIn the meantime you use 9/5 in order to covert Celsius to Fahrenheit. You can use the same notation to convert Celsius to the other temperature scales mentioned here.

on 5/29/2009 There is a much easier way to convert from Celsius to Farenheit, specially if you don't have a calculator at hand and your not fast (as I am) in multiplication, division, sum and rest. So, this is the way I do it:Given a the Celcius C that you want to convert to Farenheit F you do the following:F = C * 2 301. Multiply Celcius by 2.2. Add 30.That would give an approximate estimate of the temperature in Farehnheit. Observe that it will contain an error since the formula is not exact. It is only exact for C = 10:50 = 10 * 2 30 which is equal to the original equation 50 = 10 * 9/5 32Now, if you want to be more precise in the conversion, everything you have to do is to apply a small correction to the simplified equation. The exact error commited when applying the simplified equation is:E = 1/5 C - 2which is 0 when C = 10. That means that you have to apply a correction of 1 degree (F...
