Things You'll Need:
- Exercise shorts
- Light weight top
- Aerobic or running shoes
- Bottle of water
-
Step 1
Buy proper clothing including comfortable exercise shorts and a light weight exercise top. This type of clothing is available at most sporting good stores and many retail clothing stores. Brands such as Under Armor are good choices because their light weight material absorbs perspiration.
-
Step 2
Purchase appropriate foot wear. You will want to choose a comfortable fitting aerobic or running shoe with good cushion and shock absorption.
-
Step 3
Bring a bottle of water to class with you. Drink a small amount before the class begins and make sure to drink throughout the class in order to stay hydrated and prevent over heating.
-
Step 4
Show up to the class a few minutes early and introduce yourself to the instructor. Inform her of your experience in aerobics. If she knows you are new to this type of class, she will probably take more time to explain moves to you and help you with your form. Also, ask if there will be stretching as part of the class or if you should stretch before hand.
-
Step 5
Choose a prime spot in the room so that you are in full view of the instructor and able to easily follow his moves.
