  • these tips!
  1. Step 1

First you'll want to take an inventory of the current condition of your vehicle. When was the last time it had a tune-up? Oil Change? Allignment? When was the last time the air and fuel filters were checked/changed? What is the current pressure of your tires? What is in the car that may be unnecesary? All of these things have an effect on the amount of gas that your vehicle uses.

  2. Step 2

    Like these?

With all of the necessary maintenance from step 1 is taken care of, take a look at the outside of your vehicle. Are there any luggage racks or other things that may decrease the aerodynamics of your vehicle? If so, remove anything that is unnecessary!
    Step3
Now that your vehicle is in top shape, make sure to check out gasbuddy.com or similar sites that let you know the lowest gas prices in your area so that you don't waste gas trying to find out! Also, participate in any gas rewards programs at local gas stations.

  3. Step 3

Keep your foot off that gas pedal!! Speeding up too quickly, or just speeding in general is the best way to waste gas.

  4. Step 4

Find a friend, family member, coworker, or neighbor to carpool with you as much as possible. Carpools aren't just for work anymore, you can take turns driving to the grocery store, taking kids to sporting events, and all sorts of things! Try it out.
