Hello everyone! This is a quick recipe for dinner. I don't know about you, but.. I do not like hominy no matter how it is cooked!! That is why this recipe is a good to share recipe. Even if you don't like hominy, just give it a try... "I did, and was so amazed that here I am trying to convince other hominy disliker's to try it"!! LOL!!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A Large Skillet
  • 1 package of bacon
  • 1 Large Can White Hominy
  1. Step 1
    "Large Can".

This is the hominy that works best.

  2. Step 2
    "bacon creates own oil".

dice add your Bacon to the skillet. Fry like usual.

  3. Step 3
    "fully cooked".

Once your bacon is thoroughly cooked, lower your heat just slightly so it does not burn.

  4. Step 4
    "Drain and rinse in water".

Now Open the can of white hominy and rinse well.

  5. Step 5
    "Eat or refrigerate".

Add the white hominy to the bacon and the bacon grease. Mix it in very well so that the hominy is saturated with the bacon grease. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, until hominy is fully heated, slightly browned and flavored by the bacon and grease. Then Drain grease.

Tips & Warnings
  • Rinse hominy before adding to the bacon.
  • Make sure you lower heat before you add hominy, so the bacon don't burn.
  • Drain the grease when finished cooking.
  • Do not drain grease before it is done cooking.
  • Let cool for 5-10 minutes before eating, Very Hot!
  • Refrigerate after serving, contains meat product.
