Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- extra large container
- vinegar
- mild soap
- sponge or cloth
- stainless steel cleaner/polisher
Step1
With a soft cloth, wipe away all the loose rust you can.
Step2
Next place one cymbal in a large container. Pour in enough vinegar to cover the cymbal. Repeat with other cymbal if you have two large containers.
Step3
Let this sit several hours - possibly over-night depending on how bad the rust is.
Step4
Again, take a sponge or soft cloth and clean the rust from the cymbal.
Step5
Repeat the last step until all the rust is removed.
Step6
Next, used mild soap and water to thoroughly clean your cymbal - removing all traces of vinegar.
Step7
Dry completely - water left on your cymbal will leave mineral deposits and cause stains on them.
Step8
Last, finish up with some stainless steel cleaner/polisher for a great shine!
