How to Select and Mount a Drum Stick Bag
Nothing messes up a drum session quite like dropping a stick. However, if you've got a drum stick bag, filled with sticks, you can easily grab a new one and keep on playing. Many drummers simply place extra sticks on the floor by their feet, but this can cause downtime, as it isn't always convenient to lean down and pick up another stick. A drum stick bag makes things much easier, as sticks are always within reach. They also look kind of cool mounted on your drum set. They aren't too expensive, and are very easy to mount. Once you get yours up you won't have to worry about dropped sticks anymore, because you'll always have a backup.

How to Select and Mount a Drum Stick Bag

1
Decide where you want your drum stick bag to go. There are various types of drum stick bags. Some mount on your drums, others on the poles of your cymbals or hi-hats. Neither choice is incorrect, it's simply a matter of personal choice.

2
Purchase a drum stick bag that will work for where you want to place it. Generally speaking there are bags that are made to attach to your drums and ones made to attach to cymbals and hi-hats, and if you use the wrong one you will have a hard time keeping it up.

Slide the strap(s) through the lug bolt on your drum, or around the pole of your cymbals.

Wrap the strap(s) all the way around and affix it to the bag via the Velcro. If there isn't any Velcro you may need to tie the straps together.
