Determine what kind of rash is on your face. Rashes come in many forms. Some are red and blotchy, and others are scabby and blistery. Some forms of dermatitis involve red splotches scattered around your face. If you have recently been in contact with poison oak or poison ivy, your face might have a corresponding rash if you touched your face after handling the plant.

Stay away from warm conditions. The cooler and drier you can keep your environment, the better your face will feel.

Take a bath several times a day in cool water. Don't use soap for your bath. Just let your body soak in nice, cool water. Splash cool water on your face.

Smooth calamine lotion on the rash. The lotion will feel good when you first apply it, and it will work on treating the rash. Avoid types of lotion that can keep the pores in your face closed off. You want your skin to be able to breathe properly when you have a face rash.

Take a small towel or a washcloth and wet it with cool water. Apply this to any spots on your face that have a rash.
