How to Paint An Apple Out of a Hand Print
Painting is a great outlet for any kid to express their creativity. It is also a great stress reliever. Knowing all the good things that comes from painting, parents should look for some fun ways to get their kids in to painting. Creating art using their own hands is a great painting craft especially because the kids get to have their hands dirty without getting in trouble.
Things You'll Need
- Paints (red, brown, green)
- Paint brush
- Your Hand
- Slice of Cardboard
- Poster board or piece of construction paper
- Soap
- Water

Get out a piece of poster board or a piece of construction paper, whichever one you have handy. This is going to be your background so if you have a background color preference for your apples, then use a sheet of that color.

Take your paint brush and dip it in to the red paint. Using the paintbrush, paint your palms with the red paint. Only paint your palms and not the rest of your hands or your fingers. Do one palm at a time.

Press your red palm down on the paper facing to the left and the other red palm down facing to the right so that they both overlap in the middle. This makes the shape of the apple.

Wash your hands off with soap and water.

Cut a small piece of cardboard in the size and shape of an apple stem. Paint it brown with your paintbrush and press it down in the middle top of the apple.

Get out the green paint. Now it's time to paint yourself again. Take your paintbrush, dip it in to the green paint and paint your thumbs green, one at a time.

Press your green thumbs on either side of the stem to form the leaves.

Wash your hands with soap and water.

Let your painting dry.
