The technology behind graphic design programs has really come a long way since they were first introduced a few decades ago. In modern times, graphics programs offer much to the user. The newest and most relevant development to occur to these programs over the past decade was the implementation of the layers feature, which allows users to break up sections of files and manipulate their different attributes, while the file still shows up as one in the final picture format.

  • Image with layers
  • Paint Shop Pro Photo XI

    How to Merge All Layers in Paint Shop Pro Photo XI

  1. Step 1

    Open the Paint Shop Pro Photo XI application. You will need to left-click on the Paint Shop Pro Photo XI icon in order to open the program.

  2. Step 2

    Load the file that you need to work on. Make sure to open the graphics file that you wish to merge layers on.

  3. Step 3

    Arrange layers as desired prior to merging. Make sure that you arrange the layers in the order that you want them before you merge them.

  4. Step 4

    Merge the desired layers. Left-click on the “Layers” tab in the command bar, a submenu will open. Scroll to “Merge”; a submenu will open. Scroll to “Merge All" and left-click.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure that you really want to merge all of the layers; this will combine all of their attributes to one format.
  • Always save an extra copy of the file, this way you can go back if you make a mistake.
