Things You'll Need:
- Computer with key board.
- Typing game ($10 dollars at best buy)
-
Step 1
Turn on your computer with your keyboard to get it ready to learn a new typing method.
-
Step 2
Turn on typing game.
-
Step 3
Put your hand you wish to type with in the middle of the keyboard. Thumb should be on space, other fingers should be on f, G, H, and J.
-
Step 4
Start the lesson part of the game. You will be using different fingers but try to practice the same keys. You will use the figures for the keys that are closest to each finger. What keys you use will depend on how long your figures are.
-
Step 5
Start teaching yourself a few minutes a day. You will soon see progress and with practice be able to effectively type with one hand.

on 7/1/2008 I broke my hand when I was a secretary years ago. I wish I would have learned to type with one hand BEFORE that happened. Great advice!
