Many companies offer ways to pay less for fuel.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Gas Station Credit Cards: Companies such as Shell, with their Shell Platinum MasterCard®, allow you to earn free gas while using your credit card. The purchases can be for anything, not just fuel.

  2. Step 2

Cash Back Credit Cards: Discover card offers cash-back rewards when using their card. If you use your discover card, or other cash-back card every time you get fuel, you can save big money.

  3. Step 3

Gas Station/Grocery Store Specials: Grocery stores with gas stations, such as Hy-Vee here in the Midwest, offer a savings on gas each day with your grocery receipt. The savings can vary from 5 cents to up to 20 cents per gallon each day!

  4. Step 4

Fill Up: Many companies, such as Murphy Oil stations, found at some Wal-Mart stores, offer a savings of 10 cent per gallon when you spend $100 or more.

  5. Step 5

Alternative Fuels/Converters: Alternative fuels (direct link to more info below, under the Resources Heading), such as BioDiesel (which we use EVERYDAY and have saved literally thousands of dollars) and hydrogen (water) converters are a great way to save money on fuel. These products have been used for some time and offer a great way to save money and reduce harmful emissions.
