How to Clean Rusted Cymbols

Cymbals that are made of Bronze alloys are easy to clean. Cooking utensils until a few years ago were made of bronze and were commonly used in India. The technique used to clean these utensils can be used to clean bronze cymbals as well.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Tamarind
  • gloves
  1. Step 1
    Tamarindus indica
    Tamarindus indica

    A handful of tamarind is to be peeled off it's outer coat of thick skin

  2. Step 2

    Clean cymbals with a cleaning cloth to get rid of dust

  3. Step 3

    Wear gloves and take a good amount of peeled tamarid (as much as a scouring pad)and wet it with water.

  4. Step 4

    Rub the cymbals in a scrubbing fashion. Let the tamarind juice stay on for 10 minutes and then wash off and wipe it dry.

Tips & Warnings
  • The cymbals will be shiny and look brand new!
  • Do this with all the bronze in your home that you want revived!
