Draw Copper From Fox and the Hound

Draw Copper from "The Fox and the Hound" using any medium. This Copper was drawn using Photoshop Elements, but any type of digital media can be used. For traditionalists, colored pencils, markers and other tools work just as well. If needed, pull up a picture from the Internet and use the Eyedropper tool to pull the colors needed for him. Have fun drawing Copper.

Instructions

  1. Drawing Copper

    • 1

Draw a circle with a smaller circle inside at the lower center-right portion. Draw a smaller circle inside the circle you just drew, preferably in the center. Add two parentheses (pointing away from each other) at the bottom of the larger circle to indicate a neck.

    • 2

After you draw the opposite facing parentheses, add another circle almost equal in size to the bottom of them. Add another circle to the lower left side of the new circle. Connect the two circles with a short line on top and a "J" shaped line at the bottom.

    • 3

Add two rectangles that stem from your center-most circle, with the right rectangle sitting off slightly to the right side. At the bottom of those rectangles, add two ovals. These will be your legs and paws. Draw an upside down egg that is left-center to the lower left hand circle you drew in Step 2.

    • 4

Add one long oval to the right side of the upside down egg. Behind the right rectangle, add another long oval that goes diagonally to the right. Afterwards, add two eggplant-shaped ovals to the side of the head. You can also add a tail at this point.

    • 5

After you do the outline, begin adding your details. I added eyes, wrinkles and paw pads. Now you can begin coloring.
