How to Make Spray Cleaner for Laminate & Wood Floors, All Purpose

I keep this spray around for our wood floors and all my quick clean-ups all day long. Disinfects and deodorizes also!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Equal parts Isopropyl Alcohol
  • White Vinegar
  • Water
  • 2 drops hand dish washing liquid

Step1
Mix all three ingredients.
I put it in a white vinegar jug well marked with yucky faces. I pour it in spray bottles and we use it to clean off tables, counters, toilet seats, wipe up messes on all the floors etc. Just spritz and wipe.
Step2
To mop our wood floors, I vacuum them and use a terry cloth mop head on my wood floor mop.
I spray an area and wipe with the flat headed mop and then move to the next area.
Step3
Sit a fan on the floor to blow dry within a few minutes.

Tips & Warnings

  • I started using this after we installed laminate floors in the last house we owned. My husband worked in the flooring department at Lowe's. The Pergot salesman recommended this recipe to him instead of buying the expensive cleaners. I found it so handy to use that I made it my all purpose spray. Once we moved into this home (with all wood floors), I checked into it and was told it was perfect to maintain them as well since the alcohol causes the water to dry quicker and the planks never get fully soaked.
