As crazy at it sounds, I do like to cook. It gives a chance to be a bit creative and according to my family sometimes I get "too" creative. Usually that turns into pizza night. We'll save that story for another time. Here are 5 tips for the kitchen that I am sure you can use.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1
    Salt

    Salt

Have you added too much salt? Not to worry by adding a peeled potato, the potato will absorb the salt. This is usually done in stews and soups.

  2. Step 2
    Hard-boiled egg

    Hard-boiled egg

Staying with our salt theme when you add just a pinch to the water when boiling eggs it helps prevent the shells from cracking.

  3. Step 3
    Bread

    Bread

Did you overcook your rice? Ok did you burn it? Placing a piece of white bread on top of the rice will draw the burn odor from the pot.

  4. Step 4
    Chili peppers

    Chili peppers

If you like chili peppers, however hate when you have to chop them because they burn the hands a little then here is a good tip for you. Rub some vegetable oil on your hands before you begin chopping. Your skin won't absorb the chili peppers spicy oil.

  5. Step 5
    Bananas

    Bananas

When it comes to bananas there is no need to buy those expensive keep fresh bags you see on TV at 3:00 in the morning. Simply separate the bananas from their bunch and keep away from each other. They will stay fresh longer. Bananas release a gas which cause them to ripen. By separating them the gases are in smaller abundance, therefore lengthening the freshness.
