How to Create an Apple Martini or Appletini

Add an olive to your appletini.

While there is no definitive origin for the classic martini, everyone knows the basics: It's a gin or vodka drink with vermouth that is perhaps best known as the cocktail James Bond likes "shaken, not stirred." An appletini is a modern version of the drink that skips the vermouth and opts instead for apple flavoring. Does this Spark an idea?

DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker Schnapps
Apple juice
Cocktail shaker
Martini glass
Ice

Instructions

  Chill the martini glass.

  Mix the vodka, schnapps and apple juice in equal amounts in the cocktail shaker. Add ice to the shaker.

  Shake well and strain into the chilled glass.

  Add an olive, cherry, onion or lemon twist, if you like.

Tips & Warnings

Chill the Martini glass prior to use.
Always take precautions whenever alcohol is involved.
