While there is no definitive origin for the classic martini, everyone knows the basics: It's a gin or vodka drink with vermouth that is perhaps best known as the cocktail James Bond likes "shaken, not stirred." An appletini is a modern version of the drink that skips the vermouth and opts instead for apple flavoring. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Gin or vodka
  • DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker Schnapps
  • Apple juice
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Martini glass
  • Ice

Instructions

    • 1

      Chill the martini glass.

    • 2

      Mix the vodka, schnapps and apple juice in equal amounts in the cocktail shaker. Add ice to the shaker.

    • 3

      Shake well and strain into the chilled glass.

    • 4

      Add an olive, cherry, onion or lemon twist, if you like.
