Step1
To start off you would need a USB floppy drive which you need during windows installation. This is because the SATA hard disk is not recognized by the OS during installation. You would need to provide drivers additionally
Step2
When the installation starts it asks you to press F6 in case you want to install additional drivers. You would need to exercise that option.
Step3
The drivers that you need are the 'Intel Matrix Storage Drivers' which you can download from the Intel site. You should download the drivers that specify that they need to be pre-installed using F6.
Step4
These drivers need to be copied to a floppy and when during installation ( after pressing F6) you are asked to specify additional drivers place that floppy in the USB floppy drive and install the four listed drivers manually.
Step5
Windows will say that it already had a driver available for the drivers other than the first in the list. You can use the default windows drivers for them. This process can be done only using a floppy.( There might exist an alternative method but even after one week of googling I am yet to find one). After this is done the hard disk is recognized by XP and the installation continues normally.
Step6
The list of drivers.

Step34
