EP Scheduling takes the guesswork out of breaking down a script for production. It comes pre-programmed with template forms and industry standard strip board color coding. You have the ability to tweak the forms and colors to suit your needs.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Open EP Scheduling. Select "Preferences" in the tool bar. Select "Auto Save" from the drop down menu. Set the automatic save feature to the desired length of time. Ten to 15 minute intervals ensures that inputted work won't be accidentally lost.

  2. Step 2

Select "Design" from the tool bar. Industry standards are pre-programmed for interior day, interior night, exterior day, exterior night and interior/exterior.

  3. Step 3

Eliminate the background colors on the interior/exterior column to avoid confusion when producing the strip boards. Click on the first cell in the interior/exterior column. Change the color to a light gray color with a click on the color bar in the lower right hand corner. Do this for all cells in the column.

  4. Step 4

Adjust the background colors for the interior and exterior columns. Click on the first cell. Select a lighter version of the embedded cell color from the lower right hand color bar. Do this for all cells in the column.

  5. Step 5

Select text color in the same manner. You should use black for all text. This provides the best contrast.

Tips & Warnings
  • Interior day, interior night, exterior day and exterior night are self explanatory. These breakdowns are of primary importance to the lighting department. Interior/exterior denotes scenes that take place in cars or other vehicles where the action is inside, but the vehicle is traveling.
