How to Make A Lightbulb Angel

In just minutes you can create an adorable Christmas ornament from an ordinary lightbulb. These sweet angels will look great on any holiday tree and will bring years of enjoyment if stored properly. Things You'll Need

  • Old light bulb
  • White or flesh colored craft paint
  • Synthetic curly hair
  • Gold or copper colored chenille stem
  • White felt
  • Gathered lace
  • Ornament hanger
  • Hot glue
  • Hot glue gun
  • Scissors
  • Red marker pen
  • Black marker pen

Instructions

    • 1

      Paint glass part of light bulb with white or flesh colored craft paint. Let dry.

      Attach hair on top of light bulb with hot glue gun.

      Create a halo with a circle of chenille stem and glue on top of hair.

      Attach gathered lace around the metal base of the light bulb with a hot glue gun. Make sure no metal is showing.

      Add a face to the light bulb angel. Draw eyes with a black pen and draw a mouth with a red pen.

      Cut wing shapes from felt. Attach wings to the back of light bulb with the hot glue gun.

      Attach the ornament hanger to the back of the light bulb just above the wings with the hot glue gun.

  • Wrap in bubble wrap to store.
