Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Look at the basketball court and the positioning of your players. The guards should be playing up by the foul line, the forwards should be down by the blocks and the center should be roaming the box.
Step2
Instruct your team to run a play or get into a specific defense. By calling a play, your team will naturally fall back into the correct line-up position on the court.
Step3
Keep on your team so that they hold their correct positions during the basketball game. Teams consistently get out of whack as they fall victim to a stronger defense or offense. You start playing their game rather than sticking to your own. Remind them that they need to avoid position errors and get back in line.
Step4
Other popular line-ups in basketball include using 3 guards and 2 forwards or 1 guard, and 4 forwards. These are usually utilized for specific situations in a game. Apply the same principles to see if your team is making a position error.
Step5
If your team continues to be out of alignment, then call a timeout and set them straight. Diagram where they should be on a given play.
