Earning your parents' trust can be very difficult especially if you have done something, such as sneaking out, that makes them feel unable to trust you. It takes a lot of hard work to regain your parents' trust. Once your parents trust you, it is important for you to do your best to keep that trust in tact.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Tell the truth. Lying to your parents will always lessen their trust in you. When you are truthful, even about negative or bad things, you are showing your parents that you can be trusted.

  2. Step 2

Do your chores. Make sure that your room is clean and that any other chores you do are done to the best of your ability. This means that you may have to work a little harder than you want but, it will be worth it when you have your parents' trust.

  3. Step 3

Keep up your grades and do your school work. Your parents are more likely to trust you if you are doing good in school. Even if your grades slip, let your parents know and make sure that you work hard to get them back up.

  4. Step 4

Use common sense to help you make decisions. Making good decisions will show your parents that you are mature which will make it easier for them to trust you.

  5. Step 5

Respect your elders and everyone else around you. A person who is respectful is easier to trust than someone who has an attitude problem.

  6. Step 6

Follow the rules. This includes house rules, school rules, public laws and rules and the rules of any place you visit. If your parents get reports of you being unruly, your chances of earning their trust will suffer.
