Any committed RuneScape player wants to have a player account that stands out from the rest. You'll want anyone who watches you walk the streets of Varrock to say, "Darn, that guy's cool!" You can do several things to develop a great RuneScape account.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Choose a really great name for the account. Pick something that reflects either you or your character and sounds cool. Keep in mind that an extremely weird or offensive name could get the account banned.

  2. Step 2

Design your character's look. You could make it look like you, but you may want larger muscles for a fighter or a wizened beard for a mage. If your character is a woman, make her super hot.

  3. Step 3

Raise your combat level as fast as you can. Your combat level is shown to anyone who drags a cursor onto your character. Raise skills like strength, attack, defense, magic and hitpoints to improve your combat level.

  4. Step 4

Decide if you want to make your character a Pure. A Pure is highly developed in one combat skill only and is very popular in RuneScape. The opposite is a Skiller, who develops only noncombat skills like farming and smithing.

  5. Step 5

Earn a cape of accomplishment. These can be bought for 99,000 coins once you've completed all the quests or reached level 99 in a skill. Wearing one of these shows you have a great account.

Tips & Warnings
  • Avoid doing things with your character that will make you uncool. This includes begging other players for money and teasing less-skilled players by calling them "noobs."
  • Don't purchase an established RuneScape account from another player. Such action can get both you and the seller banned.
