The cost of things like food, gas, airline tickets among other things have drastically increased already and are continuing to rise daily. This increase in cost may require that creativity be explored when it comes to family fun.

  • Food of your choice
  • Entry fees where applicable
  1. Step 1

    Pack the family into the car and drive to a local beach. Take a picnic lunch and hang out in the sun and sand. These are all ways to have fun without spending a lot of money.

  2. Step 2

    Barbecue in the back yard. This is a nice way to spend time with the family.

  3. Step 3

    Go to the zoo. This is a terrific place to educate the family on animals from all over.

  4. Step 4

    Have everyone in the family create a food dish. Even the smallest of kids can participate in this fun, by opening chips, jello or helping to select their favorite fruit or vegetable to contribute to the meal.

    Play board games with the family. Scrabble, monopoly and other games of choice can offer hours of fun.

    Hike a nearby trail.

  • Sharing stories while enjoying the meals is an interesting way to pass time, while learning things that you may not know about family members or the family's history.
