Instructions
  1. Step 1

Sign up for a YouTube account. Open the YouTube website and click the "Sign Up" link near the top of the page. If you're already a member, log in with your account.

  2. Step 2

Open your account homepage by clicking on the "Account" link at the top of the YouTube main site.

Change your channel's vital stats by opening the "Channel Info" link underneath the "My Channel" heading. If you're new to YouTube, make sure you use this page to set your security settings and viewer restrictions.

  4. Step 4

Customize your channel by changing its background, video playlists and layout properties. You can alter these settings from the "Channel Design" page.

  5. Step 5

Upload some videos to your channel and arrange their playing order with the "Organize Videos" page. This is great if you're a new user who's looking to get your first clips up on the site.

  6. Step 6
