Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Fold over a corner of construction paper. Any color will do, as the paper will be covered later in paint. Roll the paper into a tight tube which is slightly tapered on the ends, and then glue the open ends down with craft glue.
Step2
Hold onto your tube as the glue dries to prevent unraveling. When dry, trim the ends of your wand to make it as long or short as you like. Remember that the directing tip of your wand should be a bit larger than the tapered handle.
Step3
Squeeze hot glue to fill the ends of your wand. If you like, add a small crystal, stone or other object to the tip of your wand while the glue is still hot. Add a hot glue design around your wand, squeezing out a thin line as you twist and turn the wand. The glue design will look something like a vine wrapped around your wand.
Step4
Allow the glue to dry completely and then spray paint your wand with any color you like. If you have placed a crystal on the tip, cover it with masking tape before you add paint. Metallic sprays, particularly bronze, can look stunning on your magic wand.
Step5
Use a small paintbrush and a highlighting acrylic paint to add color to the raised glue features of your wand. Allow your paints to dry, and you are ready to perform magic.
