Instructions

    • 1

Fold your piece of paper in half so that the edges line up. Use your nail to crease the fold so that the paper is perfectly flat.

    • 2

Place the jar against the folded edge of the paper. The edge of the jar should be flush with the fold.

    • 3

Trace the shape of the round jar starting on the top side of where the jar is flush with the paper. Continue tracing until you have made a half-circle.

    • 4

Draw a line from the edge of the half-circle you just made straight down until your pencil runs off the edge of the folded paper. You should now recognize this as looking like half of a heart.

    • 5

Cut the paper along the lines you've just traced.

    • 6

Remove any excess paper from the cutting and unfold your valentine. As you open the paper up, you'll realize that you have a completely symmetrical paper heart.
