How to Make a Symmetrical Paper Heart
Maybe Valentine's Day is approaching or you simply want to give someone you love a note of affection. Here are some tips on how you can make a symmetrical paper heart for that special person in your life.

Fold your piece of paper in half so that the edges line up. Use your nail to crease the fold so that the paper is perfectly flat.

Place the jar against the folded edge of the paper. The edge of the jar should be flush with the fold.

Trace the shape of the round jar starting on the top side of where the jar is flush with the paper. Continue tracing until you have made a half-circle.

Draw a line from the edge of the half-circle you just made straight down until your pencil runs off the edge of the folded paper. You should now recognize this as looking like half of a heart.

Cut the paper along the lines you've just traced.

Remove any excess paper from the cutting and unfold your valentine. As you open the paper up, you'll realize that you have a completely symmetrical paper heart.

Tips & Warnings
If you don't want to fold the paper heart, you can also pull an image of a heart off the Internet. Then, simply trace the image and cut according to plan. To resize the heart, use a paint of photo program on your computer. Basic paint and photo programs are standard on most computers.
Cut out different color hearts that are also different sizes and lay them on top of one to create a special Valentine.
