How to Make a Photo Slideshow as a Mother's Day Gift

Mother's Day is the one day set aside to show Mom how much you love her. Making a slideshow with family photos is a creative way to celebrate the holiday and it can say so much more than a card.

Instructions

1. Pick a theme for your slideshow. You can showcase only pictures from that year, funny pictures, pictures that show Mom why you love her or any other theme you want.

2. Gather the pictures that you want to use in your photo slideshow. If the pictures are regular photos, you can scan them onto your computer or you can go to a photo lab where they can put them on a disc for you. Put all of the pictures you are using in a special program on the computer.

3. Use a photo program to create the slideshow. Most computers have a slideshow option. If you are unable to find one on your computer, you can purchase one (see Resources) to download to your computer.

4. Add music to your slideshow (see Resources). Remember that this slideshow is for Mom. Try to use music that she will like.

5. Choose a time and place for your slideshow. You can burn your slideshow to a DVD or hook up your computer to the television if you want Mom to have a larger viewing screen than the computer screen. You can show your slideshow during dinner for added effect.
