You don't have to slave over a hot oven to make a delectable chocolate pie. Instead, make an easy no-bake chocolate pie. It's rich, creamy, and extra chocolaty. Keep the ingredients on hand and you'll be ready next time you need an impromptu dessert.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • Pie plate
  • 2 1/2 cups milk, chilled
  • Mixing bowl
  • Wire wisk
  • 2 small packages instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 large container whipped topping, thawed
  • Graham cracker crust
  • Powdered hot chocolate mix

Graham Cracker Pie Crust

Step1
Place the graham cracker crumbs in a mixing bowl.
Step2
Stir in the sugar and melted butter.
Step3
Press the mixture into a pie plate.

Chocolate Pie Filling

Step1
Pour the chilled milk into a mixing bowl and whisk in the chocolate pudding mix and 1 cup of the whipped topping. Set the remaining whipped topping aside.
Step2
Spread the mixture into the graham cracker crust.
Step3
Spoon the remaining whipped topping over the chocolate filling.
Step4
Dust the chocolate pie with the powdered hot chocolate mix. Serve the no bake chocolate pie immediately, or keep it in the refrigerator until you're ready to serve.

Tips & Warnings

  • The easiest way to make graham cracker crumbs is to put the crackers in a resealable plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Be sure the air is removed from the bag before you roll.
  • You can use a store-bought graham cracker crust, if you don't want to make your own.
