How to Make a Hot Whiskey

From hot toddies to heated eggnog, hot whiskey drinks can be satisfying and comforting on cold winter nights. While many hot drinks require a long list of ingredients and preparation time, you can make a delicious whiskey-laced libation without any fuss. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

  Pour 2 to 3 oz. of whiskey into a coffee mug. Stir in a rounded spoonful of brown sugar until dissolved.

  Add 2 or 3 fresh cloves. Place a slice of lemon into the mug.

  Bring water to a rolling boil in a kettle. Pour the boiling water into the cup, while stirring the ingredients. Fill almost to the top. Serve hot.
