How to Make a Delicious Mango Dessert

Mangos are the centerpiece of many succulent, fruity desserts. Because they're available year around, you can cool off with a refreshing mango dessert in the heat of summer, or you can enjoy a taste of the tropics on the coldest winter day. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Make mangos the focal point in a tropical dessert fruit bowl. Simply gather a few of your favorite tropical fruits, such as papaya, pineapple, bananas and kiwi. Chop them in bite sizes pieces and combine them in a bowl with a 1 or 2 mangos.

    • 2

Cool off on a hot day with a refreshing mango sorbet. Peel 2 mangos, remove the seeds and cut them into cubes. Put them in a blender with a cup of sugar, a cup of cream and a cup of ice. Put the mango sorbet in a bowl and freeze it for at least an hour before serving.

    • 3

Go tropical at your next cookout. Skewer a marshmallow and cook it over the fire until it's brown and gooey. Put the marshmallow on a ginger snap or molasses cookie and top it with a slice of mango.

    • 4

Cube a ripe mango and combine it with a container of plain yogurt. Chill the mango parfait until you're ready to serve. Top it with a slice of mango and a spoonful of granola.

    • 5

Blend a mango smoothie. Dice a mango and put it in a blender with some canned pineapple chunks, including the juice, and a banana. Add some ice and blend well.
