How to Make Honey Almond Fruit Scrub

Brighten your complexion and treat yourself to a honey almond fruit scrub. Although similar scrubs are often used at trendy spas, you can make it yourself for a fraction of the cost. As a result, your skin will feel soft and silky smooth. If you don't have fresh strawberries, other fruits will work just as well. Try a ripe peach, apricot, banana, apple, tomato or avocado. Things You'll Need

  • 5 or 6 fresh strawberries
  • Fork
  • 10 almonds, unblanched
  • 2 tbsp. uncooked oatmeal
  • Blender
  • Small bowl
  • 1 tbsp. pure honey
  • 2 tsp. plain organic yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice

      Mash the strawberries with a fork and set them aside.

      Place the almonds and the oatmeal into a blender and grind them to a fine powder.

      Put the ground almonds and oatmeal in a small bowl and stir in the mashed strawberries, honey, yogurt and lemon juice. Mix well.

Tips & Warnings

  • To use, dampen your skin with warm water and smooth the honey almond fruit scrub gently onto your face and neck. Leave it for 5 to 10 minutes. Moisten your fingers and massage the scrub into your skin, using a circular motion to exfoliate. Rinse the scrub with warm water and dry your face, patting it gently with a soft dry towel. Follow with a facial toner and moisturizer.

  • Add 3 drops of peppermint oil for an extra refreshing honey almond fruit scrub.

  • When applying facial scrub, avoid the area around the eyes, as it is delicate to be exfoliated.
