Cranberries aren't just for Thanksgiving, they can be used year round in a relaxing facial. These facial treatments can be expensive at trendy spas, but you can make your own cranberry facial mask at home for just a fraction of the cost. The enzymes in cranberries act as exfoliants and will leave your skin healthy and silky smooth.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3/4 cup fresh cranberries
  • 3/4 cup seedless grapes, green or red
  • Resealable plastic container
  • Stick or regular blender
  • Small mixing bowl (if using a stick blender)
  • 3 tsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 envelope plain gelatin
  • 1 tsp. oat or almond powder
  1. Step 1

Put the cranberries and grapes in a small mixing bowl and puree them with a stick blender. You also can use a regular blender.

  2. Step 2

Add the lemon juice, gelatin and oat or almond powder, and continue to blend until the mixture makes a paste. If the mixture is too thick, add a few drops of water, if it's too thin add more oat or almond powder.

  3. Step 3

Spoon the cranberry facial mixture into a resealable plastic container and refrigerate it for at least 45 minutes, or until it thickens.

  4. Step 4

Remove the facial mixture from the refrigerator and let it warm for about 8 to 10 minutes before using. Apply the cranberry facial to clean, dry skin, with your fingertips, and let it remain on the face for about 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Tips & Warnings
  • Avoid your eyes when applying cranberry facial, as it will sting.
