Make your own word bangle bracelets. Everyone wants those chunky accessories with favorite words and sayings scrawled around them. Instead of paying retail prices for them, make your own with your stylized saying or statements.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Buy the bangles. These are wide solid bracelets made of plastic that you slip onto your wrists. They come in many colors, but white or black works best with the word overlays. Obtain rub-on transfers at craft stores. You can get them with ready-made phrases in creative fonts or design your own with alphabet rub-on sheets. The third thing you'll need is a bottle of clear nail polish.

  2. Step 2

Cut out the words or phrases from the transfers that you want on your bangle. Don't remove the words from the clear transfer sheet yet. Instead, cut around the sheet. You can mix or match the words to mean anything you like.

  3. Step 3

Place the words on the bangle where you want it. A stick usually comes in the rub-on transfer packet or you can use a popsicle stick. With the stick, rub the words hard so that they transfer onto the bangle.

  4. Step 4

Apply a thin coat of clear nail polish over the entire bangle to seal the letters. Let the polish dry before you slip your accessory over your wrist and dazzle your friends.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure that you use black or colored printed words for a white bangle and white or color words if you are using a black bangle so that the words will show up.
