How to Make Turkey Puppets Out of Garden Gloves
Put an old garden glove to good use or buy a brand new pair and make a couple of adorable Thanksgiving turkey puppets. You can make several puppets and stage an impromptu Thanksgiving Day theatrical event, or just make one and use it as a unique centerpiece for your Thanksgiving table. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Clean gardening gloves, new or used
- Small pieces of craft foam or felt (red, gold and brown)
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
- Googly eyes
- Black fine point marker

Cut feathers from the craft foam or felt, one for each finger.

Cut a wing shape out of red or gold craft foam or felt, large enough to cover most of the palm of the glove. Glue the wing to the palm.

Trim 2 small triangles from gold or yellow craft foam or felt and glue them to the tip of the thumb.

Make a long, red wattle in an oblong shape and glue it over the thumb by the beak.

Glue a googly eye to each side of the thumb, lower down on the thumb than the wattle.

Use the fine tip marker to embellish the feathers.

Allow the glue to dry completely and use the garden glove puppet to stage a special Thanksgiving Day celebration.

Tips & Warnings
Never let children use a hot glue gun without adult assistance and supervision. Craft glue can also be used to make garden glove turkey puppets. Just be sure to give it more drying time.
