How to Get Google Driving Directions
Thanks to the Internet, there's very little reason to get lost anymore. All you have to do is go to Google Maps and type in your starting point and destination and within minutes you can be on your way. Follow these simple steps to get Google driving directions quickly and easily.

Locate Google Maps. If you first go to the Google homepage, look for the option labeled "Maps" near the top of the page. Click on that link to get to the Google Maps homepage. Alternatively, you could go straight to the Google Maps page and click "Get Directions" under the Search box.

Type in your start address. At the top of the page, you'll see a box labeled "Start address." This is where you enter in your starting point, complete with city, state and ZIP. If you don't include the ZIP code, you may end up getting bad directions or may receive an error message that your location cannot be found.

Enter a destination address. Next to the "Start address" box is the "End address" box. In this box, type the complete address of the place you want to go.

Click "Get Directions" once you've entered the addresses to complete your search. If both addresses are valid, the map and directions will load on the page.

Alter your route. When you get Google driving directions, you have the option to alter your plan based on personal preference. You can check the "Avoid Highway" box if you want to take the scenic route, or choose "Get Reverse Directions" to switch the start and end addresses.
