    Instructions

    Things You'll Need

    • Hairbrush
    • Hair wax
    • Hairspray
      • 1

Look at your hair like a canvas that you get to work with every day. Most scene kids keep their hair styled precisely the same from day to day. If you're a girl, you're likely to have a little more room to be creative.

      • 2

Brush your hair flat. If your hair has any curve to it, use a ceramic straightener to get every last wave and curl out and then brush it through once more.

      • 3

Use hair wax to separate your hair's layers piece by piece. Put a little wax on your thumb and forefinger. Start about midway down the hair's length and pull down on the hair with the waxed fingers. Do another strand and watch as your hair starts to separate.

      • 4

Spray it in place. Use a light hairspray instead of the extra hold kind, so that your hair doesn't become too heavy and lose its style altogether.

      • 5

Touch up your hair whenever possible.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Pay close attention to when your hair is growing out and get it trimmed, usually every 6 weeks. For scene hair, you may need to schedule a trim every month, especially if your hair grows quickly.

    • Make the layers around your face the most pronounced.

    • Realize you will have bad hair days. Some days your hair will just not cooperate and go the way you want it to.
