How to Mount Racing Go-Kart Tires on One Piece Wheels
Go-Kart racing has quickly become one of the most popular sports for adults and children alike. Working with a go-kart is a great way to bond with your child and use important building, mathematical and cognitive skills. Maintenance is part of the process, like mounting go-kart tires on one piece wheels.

1
Remove the one piece wheel system and remove the old tire. Take notice of the brand you are using so you can buy the same kind of replacements.
-
2
Check that the valve cores are removed from the wheel. This is vitally important, as it can cause a blockage or damage the new tire as it goes on. Inspect the lips to make sure there is no damage and no other components to remove. Start with the smaller side first, if applicable.

3
Use a lubricant substance, such as WD-40, to lube the wheel rims. Avoid getting lube on the inside of the tire; lube the wheel itself instead. Place the wheel on a secure surface, like the carpeted floor. Hold the tire like a steering wheel and start to place the wheel on it at a 45-degree angle.
-
4
Push the tire onto the wheel. This may take a large amount of force. Once it is on, double check that it is on properly and flip the system over and repeat on the other side of the wheel. Re-install the valve cores and inflate the tires. Check for damage or other problems before using them in a race.
