Home safety and security should be at the top of everyone's list, especially for families. Closed circuit television is one option when looking at the gamut of home security options. The systems can range from low-cost to expensive and the home owner should be properly trained in how to use the closed circuit television to get the most out of this security feature.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Complete online training through SecurityCEU. This can be done at their website. They offer training and information by Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) expert Charlie Pierce. For the best results, use the most current version of Internet Explorer and a high speed Internet connection.

  2. Step 2

Go to the SecurityCEU site and click on the "CCTV Training" tab on the top of the home page. This will take you to a listing of training modules and videos hosted by Charlie Pierce. Read the information on the page to understand the details of the NICET VSS Level 1 Certification.

  3. Step 3

Click on the link to view the Online CCTV Demonstration. This online demonstration lasts a few minutes and reviews some of the information available in the certification preparatory courses. Look at the list of 14 courses from which to choose to identify the one you are most interested in purchasing.

  4. Step 4

Create a profile by clicking on the "New User" link at the top of the page. Fill in all the required fields to create a new account and profile, and to have purchasing power on the site. Go back to the page offering the courses, select and purchasing the one you are most interested in and complete this according to course instructions.
