Step 1
Remember that the house is the casino and wants the players to loose. You also want them to loose if you bet a don't come or don't pass bet. These bets are even money. You're considered a wrong better when you bet a don't pass or don't come bet. That's just because you back up the house desire in craps with the hope of the same outcome as the house, that the player looses.

Step 2
Place your wager down for your don't pass or don't come bet.
-
Step 3
Win if the thrower craps out. If the person throwing the dice gets a 2 or a 3 when they roll the first roll, they loose and you win. You can get more if you back up your bet in craps. You lose right away if they get 7 or 11.
-
Step 4
Tie with the house if the shooter, the person that throws the dice, gets a 12. The house returns your money but doesn't give anything from their coffers for a 12. Some casinos pay on 12 but not on 2.

Step 5
Put chips behind your bet for true odds, which is the odds or back up bet. If you place an odds bet on don't pass for the number 4 or the number 10, you need to place 2 dollars to get 1 dollar back. For a bet on 5 or on 9, you need to put down 3 dollars to get back. Rolls of 6 and 8 pay $5 for each $6 odds bet.
