Step 1
Pick the name of a parasitic animal or the name of a bird. Be sure to consider the traits and habits of that animal. It works best if the pirate one portrays acts like the animal or bird in one's pirate name. Some examples include Hawk and Buzzard.
-
Step 2
Change the spelling of the parasitic animal or bird's name if possible to make it look more like a person's name. A few examples are Hawk to Hawkin, Buzzard to Buzz, Magpie to Maggie or possibly Crow to Crowe.
-
Step 3
Enhance the pirate name by adding an adjective to describe the pirate that one is portraying. Try Shuffling, Tenacious, Scowling, Strong-Willed, Hook-Handed or One-Eyed. Be creative when coming up with adjectives and be sure that they go well with the pirate that one is portraying.
-
Step 4
Use a part of the body as part of the last name of the pirate. Try using tooth, leg, beard, eye or hand, as they go well with the other names one has put together.
-
Step 5
Choose a first name that sounds good with the other names. A few examples include Tenacious Taylor Buzzbeard, Pegtooth Ned, Hook-Handed Roberto Hawkins and One-Eyed Jim Barnaclebreath.
