Things You'll Need:
-
Step 1
Open the napkin and lay it flat. Since a cloth napkin is somewhat difficult to work with, this is an important step.
-
Step 2
Fold one side toward the center of the napkin. Once that's complete, fold the other side to the center so the two ends meet. You now have a napkin that is half as wide as it is long.
-
Step 3
Make another fold. Bring the folds on the sides together. When you do this, the ends in the middle are covered. One side of the napkin is a fold and the other is two folds.
-
Step 4
Put the folded napkin in front of you so the folded edges are at the side and one of the unfolded sides face you.
-
Step 5
Bring up the bottom, the part that faces you, one quarter of the way up. Separate the top layer of napkin away from the rest on the edge you just brought up.
-
Step 6
Turn the top down and tuck it into the opening. Adjust the napkin so the top of the pocket comes to middle.
-
Step 7
Slide in the silverware. The bottom of the silver is covered by the pocket and the top lays on top of the rest of the napkin. Adjust the napkin to your preference so it looks like your silver is snuggled away.
