Instructions

    • 1

Instruct everyone to dress completely in black, including shirts, pants, shoes and socks. If you can't find black shoes, buy a pair at the dollar store and coat it with black fabric or spray paint.

    • 2

Cover your face and neck with black face paint. Each dancer needs to look like a seamless black silhouette. Wear black sunglasses to keep the whites of your eyes from ruining the illusion. If you don't have black hair, buy a wig or black hat to cover up (see Resources).

    • 3

Accessorize your outfits with white iPods with white headphones. If your friends don't own the music players, take turns with the one you have or just fold and paint a piece of cardboard white to look like one and attach a pair of inexpensive white headphones.

    • 4

Ask two friends to hold large pieces of neon-colored poster board behind the person dancing. If the boards at the crafts store aren't large enough, glue two or three long pieces of butcher paper together and coat them with brightly colored paint instead.

    • 5

Ask another friend to carry a large compact disc player to blast funky music as the rest of you take turns dancing wildly in front of the neon background holding your white iPod.

Tips & Warnings

  • Since you'll be wearing an all-black outfit, carry a flashlight or a safety reflector or even wear a few cute snap bracelets that will double as reflectors as you cross the street.

  • Remove stubborn stage makeup after the Halloween party or event with makeup remover wipes.
