How to Become Famous Like Kim Kardashian

Reality TV star and Playboy cover girl, Kim Kardashian hails from a long line of Hollywood's elite. Her stepfather is Olympic athlete, Bruce Jenner; her stepbrother, "The Hills" star, Brody Jenner; and her father, OJ Simpson's defense attorney, the late Robert Kardashian. Despite all of these famous family members, Kim has only recently become a celebrity in her own right.

1. Hang out with famous friends. Long before she became famous, Kim was friends with fellow socialites, Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton and Nicole Richie.
2. Turn famous friends into clients. Some of Kim's famous friends have also become valued clients of her upscale Calabasas fashion boutique, "Dash," which she runs with sisters, Kourtney and Khloe.
3. Flaunt your assets. Before she became a Hollywood name, people first recognized Kim for her curvy figure, which she accentuates in public with clingy clothes.
4. Start a MySpace page. Before she had an official website, Kim got a chance to tell the world a little bit about herself through her MySpace page, which features a pink, sparkly background and loads of photos of Kim, her friends and family.
5. Star in a sex tape. Kim may not have known that her sex tape with former boyfriend, Ray J, would ever go public, but when the tape hit the Internet in 2007, it instantly propelled Kim to superstardom. Although Kim has denied having any part in the release of the tape, some speculate that it was a calculated move to achieve the same level of exposure that her friend and fellow socialite, Paris Hilton gained from her own sex tape.
6. Get a reality show. Kim stars in hit reality show, "Keeping up with the Kardashians" along with her sisters, mom, stepdad and stepbrother.
