How to Make School Reports Look Longer
They say that the first step is the hardest, but when you're trying to finish a school report, then stretching out those last few pages can be the hardest. If you need to make your school report or paper look longer than it actually is, the following steps can help.

1
Adjust your margins. Click and drag your margins toward the center of the page, or select Format from the menu bar and adjust the paragraph indents.
-
2
Change the font. Certain fonts can actually take up more space on a page than others. Experiment with different fonts on your computer, but make sure you choose one that looks professional and clean rather than decorative and ornate.

3
Put a header or footer on each page. A header or footer that includes such information as your name, the title of the paper or the page number, can make your paper appear longer because it takes up one line at the top or bottom of each page.
-
4
Add footnotes. You can take up extra space on a page if you add a footnote at the bottom, which expands on the information presented in your paper. This not only makes the report look longer, but also adds further details to your report, which will most likely be viewed better than some tricks.
-
5
Include quotes. You can make your school report look longer if you interject quotes, particularly a long block of quotes, which also adds more information to your paper.

Tips & Warnings
If you have a choice between handing your paper in as a hard copy or emailing it, then print a hard copy so that the words in your paper can't be counted using a word processor.
Don't attempt any of these steps if your teacher or professor has specifically requested a certain format for your paper that prohibits them.
If your teacher or professor notices that you simply changed the font or margins, it may reflect on your grade.
